Experimental in nature, TIMESPECIFIC is a critique and exploration on the value of art, the standards of the art market and its place within society.
Instead of being site-specific to the gallery or to another site, TIMESPECIFIC meets with artists to investigate the practice of the art making itself.
The name TIMESPECIFIC refers to Robert Smithson’s ‘site non-sites’, ‘site specific art’. Yet, our intent is not to create permanent installations on the land. Instead, TIMESPECIFIC is interested to document an experience which only happens at a time-specific moment in space.
Timespecific was fouded by Isolde Kille in order to cultivate collaborations and cross-disciplinary projects between artists, locally and abroad.
